ย Women Empowerment: The Rashtriya Jharkhand Seva Sansthan, a local NGO, has launched a community development initiative at Pahalwan Ashram Bhakhra, Satgawan, Koderma. The project connects rural women to self-employment opportunities by training them to craft incense cups (เคงเฅเคช เคเคช) and diyas (เคฆเฅเคฏเฅ) from cow dung. This innovation not only contributes to environmental sustainability but also spreads awareness about cow protection.
Four NGO members underwent a specialised 15-day training in Gujarat to master eco-product making from cow dung. After returning, they trained 15 village women who now manufacture these products in-house. These efforts ensure rural women earn between โน7,000โโน10,000 monthly , while also collecting cow dung to prevent aged cattle from being abandoned.
