NAVYA Initiative 2025: Empowering Adolescent Girls

In a powerful step toward shaping a more inclusive and self-reliant India under the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision, the Government of India has launched a groundbreaking skilling initiativeβ€”NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational Training for Young Adolescent Girls). Unveiled on 24th June 2025 in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, this initiative is a joint pilot project by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
