India has taken a historic step in preserving and empowering its tribal heritage with the launch of Aadi Vaani, an AI-powered translation app dedicated exclusively to tribal languages. Launched in its beta version on 1st September 2025 by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, in collaboration with premier technical institutions, Aadi Vaani offers real-time translation among Hindi, English, and six tribal languages. This initiative represents not just a technological innovation but also a cultural renaissance for communities that have long remained unheard in India’s mainstream socio-digital sphere.
